The other good news is that the Klippers have made a trade today and acquired a dman. Adding some more veteran pressence to the back end will certainly be beneficial. The Klippers have acquired Cody Lund of the SIJHL for the rights to David Ahl who decided not to play this season for the Klippers. The most impressive thing about Cody Lund is his playoff experience as his team as won the SIJHL championship the last two seasons. That type of experience can go a long way come playoff time for the Klippers.
Here is the bio of the newest Klipper
Home Town : Salmon Arm, B.C
Age : 20
Previous Team : Fort Willam North Stars , SIJHL in Ontario
Height: 6 Feet
Weight:185
Last Season: 42 games - 4 goals - 12 assits - 16 Points
So far this year Cody has played 8 games and scored 1 G , 2 A with 4 PIM.
Suprised to see he only has 4 PIMs so far this year. Might be a good fit with the way the Klippers penalty kill has been struggling.
Cody was also an assistant captain over in Fort Williams , so he should add great leadership.
Not sure what this means for the team. I know a few moves need to be made up front but suddenly now there is a fluster of players on the back end. A few more trades and releases could be coming very shortly.
I will try and get an interview with Larry sometime today.
