Post Game . Klippers Win A Defensive Showdown 1-0

Well I do not have a ton of time to write up a recap. We have a early checkout and then have some free time outside of the hotel so I will not be able to access the blog. But anyways here is a short recap and a few interviews. I thought that this was a great win for the Klippers. Sure they only scored one goal , but the Klippers buckled down and played great defensively all night long. Not all games are going to be high scoring , some games you are going to get the 2-1 , or 2-0 , 1-0 games and the Klippers last night showed they can win a hockey game with solid defensive play. Most of the Klippers wins this season have come by them scoring 5 or 6 goals a game, so I'm sure it was reassuring for the club to know they can win a low scoring game.

Know on to Alex Peck , what a game for the new Klippers tendy. After a rough first period at home against La Ronge , you could see him starting to get more comfortable and that lead into last nights game. He made a few huge saves , and was really good with his rebound control. That is something he struggled with against La Ronge, but I think most of that was just nerves. I had a chat with him after the game and he is extremely happy to be a Klipper. He really likes the team , the town and wants to help win a SJHL title. Also the whole team and myself failed to realize that it was his 20th birthday yesterday. Quite the great birthday to get a shutout and now a ton of confidence heading into the next 2 road games. I have a interview with him below.

As for tonight , I may get some pre game stuff up later. Also some good news on the broadcast as there is no baseball, so tune it tonight with pre game starting at 715. Will be interesting to see how Weyburn responds to the Klippers after getting lit up for 11 goals in the previous meeting.
