Kindersley Faithful Left Speechless At The WCEC

Klippers Lose A Heartbreaker

Wow , I am sure some fans are still speechless as to what they witnessed in the final second of tonight's hockey game. One of the craziest and wildest finishes in any level of hockey. With basically less than one second left in regulation the Bruins managed to score on pretty much a dump attempt by Ben Findlay just inside the blue line , that came off the end boards out in front bouncing off Nickel and some how ending up in the back of the net.

After the Klippers managed to claw their way back form a 4-2 deficit , with a ton of momentum likely heading into overtime , the unthinkable happened.

It was questionable if the puck indeed crossed the line in time but unfortunately in the SJHL you can't go upstairs for further review.

A tough break for goaltender Dustin Nickel as no one in the world would of expected that puck to shoot out in front like it did. Nickel had a very solid game aswell , so a really tough way to end that hockey game for him.

A Few Other Game Notes.

- The Klippers failed to gain any ground in the Sherwood Division in a game they likely should have won. Overall I thoiught the Klippers were the better team tonight. They were a second away from one point and a great chance at two , but instead they find themselves now 6 points back of the Bruins for 2nd place in the Sherwood.

- Casey Rogers really impressed me tonight. He made some very solid plays in his old end , and starting to show some signs of offensive flash from the back end. Very solid for only his 2nd game as a Klipper.

- The line of Duzan , Hoffman and Mysiorek continued to play great. Hoffman I thought was the best Klipper on the ice tonight , with Mysiorek and Duzan not to far behind. All 3 players are rolling at the same time and it`s great to see.

- The Klippers need to stop putting themselves in penalty trouble. Penalty trouble costed the Klippers a 2 goal lead , and would later put the Bruins up 4-2.

- The lose tonight makes Friday's game with Weyburn so much more important. The Klippers cant let what happened to them tonight deflate their confidence and need to come out fired up against the Wings.

As for tonight's web cast , it was our first crack at it , we had alot of equipment put into the tonight's broadcast and web cast and by the sounds of it , everything worked out great. If you had a chance to catch the web cast fire up a comment and let me know what you thought. We will have all the home games for the rest of the season via web cast. Also let us know what we can work on in the future. I had alot of fun with Phil Andrews on color tonight who works with me at Mix 104 here in Kindersley.

Had a chance to catch up with Larry Wintoneak after the game alongside Josh Lewis. He talks about the wild finish and also the WJAC that he just took part at in Penticton B.C.
