The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has suspended La Ronge Ice Wolves forward Justin Ducharme for 16 games. The suspension comes after Ducharme delivered what is being called a “late and blind side” hit to Kindersley’s Andrew Dommett during a game September 19 that resulted in Dommett suffering head injuries. Ducharme will not be eligible to rejoin the Ice Wolves until November 19.

Personally I feel it should of been a bit longer. 20 would of been fair for me, the way I look at it is , he took out one of the top 5 players in the SJHL who will be out for much longer than 16 games it looks like, but hey what can you do. The SJHL did what they thought was fair , and we will move on.

I will try and get Larry's reaction some time today or tomorrow.
