Tuesday Randoms and Season Preview

I know alot of people wont be able to make the trip out to Brooks Alberta for the preseason game tonight and neither will I. So coverage on the game might be a little bit limited tonight but hopefully I can chat with Larry on how things went sometime tommorow. I'm still working on getting tonight's lineup , hopefully I will have it shortly. I'm Going to be jumping on the bus for the Klippers game in Battlfords tomorrow so we will have tons of coverage on that one.

To help pass the time on your Tuesday afternoon , check out this season preview article I was asked to write up on the Kindersley Klippers for the upcoming SJHL Overtime Magazine...

One goal was all that separated the Kindersley Klippers from the Credit Union Cup final last season

Last year's heart break should serve as a great experience builder for many of the returning players.

Back behind the helm is head coach, Larry Wintoneak , who may be icing a very similar team to last season as the Klippers have most of their key players returning.

Up front most of their top gunners are back including newly named captain, Andrew Dommett, who tied for the SJHL lead for most goals last season.

Also expected to lead the charge up front are returnees, Braeden Adamyk , Taylor Duzan , Johnny Calkins and Jordan Hoffman, who could all score 20 plus goals this season.

On the back end, Kurt Leedahl is back and expected to log a ton of minutes. Johnathan Sonntag, and Sean Flanagan should also play prominent roles in the top six.

The Klippers main concern is in goal. Rookie of the year, Josh Thormbert who was lights out for the Klippers as a 17 year old was awarded a scholarship and will play for the NCAA's Colorado College.

Veteran Scott Hellyer ,and rookie's Justin Mcdonald and Patrick Johnson will battle at camp to earn their spots in between the pipes.

The Klippers strength is depth as the team has a strong core of returning veterans and 20 year olds. Anything less then reaching the Credit Union Cup would likely be a a disappointment for the Kindersley Klippers this season.
