Well it wasnt the most exciting period , but the Klippers will take it , leading 3-2 heading in the final frame.

The Klippers did control most of the play that period , and were rewarded for it in the final ten minutes when Johnny Calkins scored a beuaty for his first goal on the season. He has been providing all kinds of helpers but it was definatley great to see him get a goal tally.

I though Weyburns game dropped off alot in the second , might be becasue of them being tired but the Klippers did out play them for the most part.

The Klippers started this one with a lot of fire , scoring an early goal and a beauty by Braden Adamyk.

He scored on a similar move he almost scored on last night , he got the puck on the right side wing on a chip pass off the boards by Leedahl , blew down the right side wide , around the defender then cut to the middle and burried. Great speed shown by Adamyk there.

After that it was more of a back and forth game , at times Weyburn really controlled the play. There number one line of Appleyard , Sanderson and George have looked good. The Wings certainly did not show any signs of being tired in the first. We will see how they fare in the second and third.

Sanfred King got the Klippers second goal on a blast from the point on the powerplay. King adds another point to the impressive point totals he has already through 5 games.

The Klippers need to hold the lead , they have had 2 leads but Weyburn has responded right back after the Klippers have took the lead on both occasions
