Hey everyone, sorry about the lack of blogging the past few days. Hopefully you can forgive me, afterall it is thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully everyone is haveing a great time with your families on one of the best times of the year.
On to some hockey stuff.
I didnt post a game recap after the La Ronge game , so I will hit on a few points now.
- Justin Mcdonald looked awesome in his rookie debut. He got in a bit of game action against La Ronge earlier this year , but that was his first SJHL start. I was very suprised he had no rust from not playing at all until this point. One thing for sure is the Klippers goaltending at this point looks good. Scotty Hellyer has played very well his past 2 starts and now I am sure the Klippers have confidence in there back up and have a solid 1 - 2 punch in net.
- The Klippers really were sloppy all game long against La Ronge. They were biffing on passes all night long and causing turnovers in the offensive end that lead to a ton of odd man rushes for La Ronge. I dont think that is anything to be worried about through the rest of the season it was just a tough night for a few players.
- Taylor Duzan is scoring goals like nothing. He has been dynamite all season long , and its great to see him breaking out as a 19 year old , just like Andrew Dommett did last season.
- David Haaf , for a 18 year old , who is not the biggest guy overall , he can sure chuck em. Both times he dropped the gloves this sesaon he has took it to his opponents. Very impressed with that aspect of David's game especailly as a 18 year old.
- Overall a very impressive 4 game home stand for the Klippers. 3-1 is very solid and at times they showed greatness.
- The Klippers may have totally different line combos come next road trip. With D Jay McGrath arriving in Kindersley and a few players struggling , it will be very interesting.
- Off topic , my Oilers are 2-0 , who would of thought! As for my Bengals wow , I think I might have given up on Carson Palmer. He has struggled all season long , and has no excuses with the weapons he has.
Thats it for today , I shall have more tomorrow when I get back in to the swing of things. Have a great day everyone
