Road Trip , Tonights Game , Broadcast

Well quite the bus trip up to Regina as the bus was full of fruit flies. Probably over a hundred of them , they were everywhere , but we made it haha.

On to tonight's game , it will be interesting to see how the Klippers respond after last games debacle. This is a huge three game road trip , with all three games against division opponents. Things are tight and the Klippers could gain some breathing room with 2 or 3 wins.

Tonight's game the Klippers just simply need to forget about last game and come out blazing. They need to get the first goal in this hockey game. Notre Dame has not been very good offensively but do have a good defensive corps and have only given up 44 goals on the season, which is the second fewest in the SJHL behind Humboldt. It also sounds like a few of the boys are battling the flu bug. Very tough to be at your best out their with the flu , especailly being able to go hard for all 60 minutes. Thats another reason why the first goal of this hockey game will be so important tonight for the Klippers.

Alexandre Peck will likely get the start once again tonight , he did get alot more comfortable near the end of last game. From all accounts it sounded like he was very nervous before hitting the ice at home in his debut. That can be expected. A road trip with his new team should really help make him feel more comfortable.

As for tonight's broadcast, we will go live following the World Series Game 2. I am expecting we will miss the first period of the hockey game , which I will be doing updates during inning breaks. Also a reminder that puck drop tonight is 8 PM. After the ball game is over we will go live for the remainder of the game. Only a few more ball games left. Good news for tomorrows broadcast though as their is no baseball so we will have all of that game. Tune in on classic hits radio or to the online stream on the right hand corner of the blog , just underneath my profile picture. Hopefully we get a pitchers duo tonight for baseball and the game ends fast. Make sure to check in and out for when we go live from Notre Dame likely around 830-9.

  4. The broadcasts are very good - people don't realize that you are often working in less than ideal conditions so thanks for a fine job. The future is bright for you and when you get to the BIGS we hope you'll remember the Klippers!
