A Special Night In Kindersley

It has been a long time coming , for the players and the town of Kindersley. Finally tonight hockey will be back in the town and the excitement level is electric. I am expecting the fans to blow the roof off the WCEC tonight. It will clearly be a sold out crowd , and hopefully the Klippers can get the victory for the home town crowd.

A few important notes on the WCEC , around 4 PM a free BBQ will be happening , so if your hungry head over to the WCEC.

At 4 until 6 formal tours of the WCEC will be offered so be sure to check that out.

Game Notes

I no the Klippers will have a huge boost from the crowd but their are a few things that worry me about tonights game.

1. On opening night in Battlefords the Klippers would have not won that game without Andrew Dommett. Tonight clearly by now you no , Dommer wont be in the lineup.

2. The Stars do not have a win this season. They are clearly a much better team than that, and one could say they are due for a win. I am shocked that the Stars have a record of 0-3-1-1 at this point. They have a ton of talent.

3. Some of the rookies might be a bit nervous tonight , the building will be loud , and I know if I was playing my first SJHL home game I would be nervous to.

Now that we got the negatives out of the way , there are a few things working in the Klippers favor.

1. Clearly the crowd is going to be a huge factor. The Klippers have to score one early to keep the crowd at the top of cheer ladder.

2. The Klippers have Taylor Wasden , and David Haaf back in the lineup tonight. This is the kind of game a player like Taylor Wasden excels in. It is going to be physical and high pace. I expect a big game from Wasden. As for Haaf we have only seen one period from him , so not sure what to expect but Larry is very confident in his abilities.

3. It appears Alex Sirard will get the start tonight. The Klippers lit him up for 7 goals on opening night. Also the Stars may be tired as they got dominated last night 7-1 by Weyburn.

If you cant make it out to the WCEC tonight then you may be able to catch the game online via webcast. The Klippers have ordered a few chips and pieces that will allow us to hook up cameras and you can catch the home games online via webcast, aswell as my self doing the play by play. This is something I am extremly excited about. The details are a bit iffy at this point and we are unsure if we can get it up and running tonight and tomorrow. We shall try and see tonight. Once it is up and running we will be doing all the home games for the season like this. More to come on this , I will keep you posted if we are unable to get it up tonight.

Tonight though you should be at the arena anyways. Its going to be a very special night , and the game is free admission. I hope to see ya there.
