Klippers Hosting Nipawin At WCEC
VS
** Update = Dustin Nickel gets his first SJHL start tonight for the Klippers.
Well tonight kicks off a very crucial six game home stand for the Klippers. To start of the road trip they have three games against opponents with less wins then them. Might be a great chance for the Klippers to turn things around , but lets not get ahead of ourselves here , these games wont come easy.
The Klippers need to stop Eli Lichtenwald tonight. He has been a force in both games in Nipawin so far this season. The Klippers have had trouble stopping his mix of size and skill , he comes out of the corners and takes the puck to the net very strong. He has three goals in the two previous games.
Brody Hoffman will likely start tonight. He is a very good goaltender but the Klippers have scored 7 and 5 goals in both meetings on him in Nipawin so far this season.
Onto the Klippers side , they will get a huge boost if Sanfred King is back in the lineup tonight. I will update his status once I arrive at the WCEC.
I really see no reason why the Klippers should lose this game tonight. I know the Hawks were able to pepper six goals at home this past weekend on the Klippers , but one could say the Hawks were due for a win. The Klippers do need to be better defensively though against the Hawks thats a must. The Hawks have been struggling all season and have had a ton of roster shake up recently. The Klippers should be motivated to turn things around , especially on home ice.
The Klippers powerplay has been pretty solid despite their lack luster performance on the PP in La Ronge. They are ranked third in the SJHL coming into tonights game on the man advantage. Nipawin is ranked eleventh on the penalty kill.
I will be doing updates on twitter during the action for this one. Follow me on twitter at BrendenUllrich or just scroll down to the right side of the blog if you don't have Twitter. Still no live feed set up , we are still trying to figure it out. and hope to have it up by the weekend.
Hope to see ya out at the WCEC tonight , the boys need a rocking crowd.
