Update On Things And Tonights Broadcast

A bit late on this as we were on the road all morning but here is what I know.

The Klippers have acquired Sean Cahill in exchange for Brett Penner, pending the league officially finalizing the deal. This could be completed here very shortly as all I believe that needs to be done is sending in the paper work to the league. It it gets done in time Sean may start tonight vs Melville.

Onto Sean he has a very solid track record in the AJHL and quite the resume to bring to the Klippers. Sean played for the Okotoks Oilers last season and was dealt to the Brooks Badits at the start of this season.
He has a scholarship to Alaska-Fairbanks already in his back pocket and he was a runner up for goalie of the year in the AJHL last season. A few guys have told me he is also a 2 time allstar in the AJHL. His record last season was 22-8-3 with a 2.66 GAA. He was Quesnel Millonaires property of the BCHL before coming here but did not report. Brett Penner was dealt to Quesnel and Larry had confirmed with me that Brett will report there.

Also a tough break for Dustin Nickel who was here for a very short time, but it sounds like he will find a place to play very shortly. Wish him all the best.

The Klippers once again though do have three goaltenders and an extra 20 year old with 2 20 year old goal tenders. It appears that Alex Peck and Sean Cahill will compete for the number job over the next week or so until we get to the December 1st deadline.

I will have an  interview with Larry Wintoneak talking about the current moves and tonight's contest in the pre game show which kicks off at 715. You can listen live from Melville on 1330/1210 Classic Hits Radio or streaming online at
