Klippers Stink Up The Joint In Weyburn

Well to be frank , the Klippers sucked last night. I'm not the guy who is going to rip on this team or anything like that, but something needs to be said after that performance last night. After a solid defensive game against Notre Dame , the Klippers came out and played brutal defensively and even worse offensively. 3 goals in the past 3 games simply is not good enough for this high powered offense. It seemed like a few players just decided to take the night off last night. I have no idea why that would be the case but it sure looked like that. In a game where you have a great chance to get some breathing room in the Sherwood division , you have to play better than that. On the Weyburn side Mitch Killgore who couldn't save a puck if his life depended on it back on Oct. 3rd in Kindersley , came back in net after giving up 11 and then puts up a goose egg with a shutout. Mitch played decent but really was not tested at all last night.

Weyburn has a monster defense with the average height of 6 " 2 , maybe the Klippers were scared of their defense , but the clear way to beat those big boys was to use their speed to get around them. I didn't see any of that last night.  Main reason might of been because their passing was atrocious all night. They could of had some solid odd man rushes but the passes couldn't connect. It seemed like every pass all night was either in the skates , are way to far ahead.

Ok now that I am done with a bit of a rant on their performance , their is some positives. A game like that could really make the team play with a ton of desperation tonight.

When you look at the big picture of this 3 game road trip , if the Klippers win tonight verse Estevan , then you head home with a successful road trip. I know the Klippers would of liked to win all 3 against their division opponents , but 2 out of 3 is good. The Klippers are 3rd in the division and can take over second with a win tonight over Estevan.

I didn't get any post game audio from the players last night , as they had a closed door meeting after the game and no one was a available for comment.

As for tonight World Series Baseball is on starting at 5. We will do live cut ins until that game is over. The Baseball should end around 8 - 815 , meaning we will hopefully have part of the second and all of the third period live. I will keep you updated on the Twitter. You can also follow my twitter posts on the right side of the blog.

  1. Good reporters tell it the way they see it. What do you think needs to be done?
