Braeden Johnson has made the final training camp cuts over at the Saskatoon Blades camp of the WHL.
At this point the team is down to 41 players , 23 of them being forwards. I fully expect Johnson to crack the opening day line up for the Blades but I am not the one makeing the Blades decisions.
The Blades take on the Prince Albert Raiders at the Art Hauser Centre, tonight to kick off pre season. No word yet if Johnson will be in the lineup tonight. I will keep you posted if I find out.
As a rookie last season in the WHL Johnson played 31 games scoring 1 goal and 1 assist, before being re assigned to Midget AAA. As an 18 year old I'm expecting at this point for Johnson to make the Blades hockey team , getting a more prominent role for at least the start of the WHL season.
