Klippers Vs Weyburn Preview

Previous 3 meetings

Oct. 3rd Kindersley 11 – Weyburn 2
Oct. 29th Kindersley 0 – Weyburn 6 ( In Weyburn )
Nov. 19th Kindersley 4 – Weyburn 2

It may be a bit early on in the season to say tonights game against the Weyburn Red Wings is a must win for the Klippers , but at this point , tonights game is as close as its going to get in terms of a must win.

The teams have almost identical records in the Sherwood Standings. The Klippers ( 13-13-2-0) for 28 points ,  The Wings (13-13-0-1) for 27 points with one game in hand.
The Klippers need to build momentum for the remainder of this trip and it all starts tonight. The Klippers have to this point been brutal on the road losing their past 6 and 7 of their past 8 away from the WCEC.

A few things working in the Klippers favour would be that you could say they are due for a win on the road. Another being the Klippers should have extra motivation tonight seeing as they got embarrassed in Weyburn 6-0 their last contest.

The Klippers were shut out last game in Weyburn but I do not see that happening tonight. The Klippers number one line has started to find its game together since Dommers return. Braeden Adamyk has been on fire the past few games, Calkins has his trigger man in Dommett and Dommett has the confidence building from a 2 goal night against Yorkton.

A few more notes. A few things are up in the air tonight for the Klippers such as who will start in net with three goalies still on the roster and the deadline looming tonight. Another huge factor for the Klippers is whether Jordon Hoffman will play tonight. Not having him against Yorkton was a huge factor as he one of the most complete hockey players on the Klippers roster.

On the Weyburn side, in 2 games against the Klippers the Cowie brothers have been dynamite. I have only seen them play twice in my SJHL span and both times they have been dynamite. Shutting down those two will be key for the Klippers tonight.

I will have much more come the coach’s show and pregame show which will kick off at 715. Tonight’s online link will be working after it was not the last two games.  The link for online streaming is below and you can of course catch the game live on the radio dial at 1330/1210 Classic Hits radio.
