Klippers Lose 4-3 Vs Weyburn. Post Game Reaction

I had a in depth convo with Rockie Zinger after the game. In my mind a very solid interview , a bit long but we likely could of went on alot longer. Here is that conversation...

Rockie Zinger

Here is Taylor Wasden. He had a solid game , one of the best Klippers on the night. He had a goal and was ready to drop the gloves until the lines came in and broke things up. He comments on the team struggles on the road , his goal and the fight...

Game Thoughts
The Klippers came out and played a very solid first 20 minutes. It was a back and fourth pace and seemed like alot to build on for the Klippers heading into the 2nd period. In the 2nd though things once again would turn against the Klippers. They would go down 2-0 and really couldn't get a whole lot going. Now this second period slump , struggle what ever you want to call it is starting to become a big concern. I have no answer as the what goes wrong for the Klippers come the second frame , I know they are still moving their feet and working hard , but for whatever reason things seem to constantly go down south for the Klippers in the second period. Talking with a few players after the game they also don't really know what the problem is. Braeden Adamyk mentioned that he feels its just another twenty minutes and for whatever reason they cant put it together for a full sixty minute effort of late. He says he fealt it might just be in their heads , but that they need to figure it out and play a full sixty minute game.

In the third the Klippers started to get things going , but playing come from behind hockey on the road down 3-0 is a steep hill to climb. The Klippers came close in the end , and had a few power play chances but really couldn't get set up. Their powerplay has struggled of late and went 1-7 on the night. Rockie Zinger comments on the powerplay in the post game interview and made some very solid points. They need to start working back to the point more , getting guys in front and get away from working the give and gos down low along the wall.

I mentioned the comeback but in the end it was not enough and they would fall 4-3.

So with that loss the Klippers have now lost 7 in a row on the road and now sit in fourth place in the Sherwood standings. Tonight things get even more tough in Estevan against the Bruins who are in second place in the Sherwood , 3 points up on the Klippers but also have three games in hand. Klippers simply put need to win tonight's hockey game. They need to look at tonight like its game 7 of the playoffs , they need to have everyone working 110 % , and they need to be better on the powerplay. It may only be game 30 for the Klippers but with the lose last night , tonight becomes that much more important. The Bruins are extremly tough to beat at home , and have a record of 10-2-1-1 on home ice. The Bruins have gotten the better end of the Klippers in both contests this season winning 6-2 at home and 5-4 at the WCEC on the goal they scored in the final second.

I really expect tonights game to be a firey effort from the Klippers bunch. I will have more come game time on the twitter feed and the pre game show at 715 on Classic Hits Radio and streaming online. at ....

Of other note , nothing to report yet on the trade front with the December 1st roster trim deadline nearing. I will get an updates throughout the afternoon and if I find anything out I will let you guys know. It just so happens that I am rooming with the assistant coach Rockie Zinger on this road trip so I may get the inside scoop haha.

  2. Couldn't agree more with the last post. Very solid effort by the entire Klipper team. The play by play is very good. Would like to have the audio of Ullsy and the video. Tough to watch the home team webcast sometimes because they tend to lean towards their own boys a fair bit. Also had a hard time getting used to the home team commentator calling DJ "McGarth"!
