Klippers Hosting Notre Dame Tonight

AT

The Klippers are finally back at home tonight after six road games. On paper though the Klippers last win in Weyburn counted as a home win due to them being considered the home team in Weyburn against Flin Flon, but still they weren't at home at the WCEC where they have been great all season.

Tonight is a very exciting night at the WCEC as the Klippers will sport pink jerseys in support of the cancer society. Throughout the game a silent auction will be held to bid on each players jersey. Who does everyone think is going to raise the most money?

The Jerseys are being donated by Energy Dodge Limited , Camerons Clothing Company and Supreme Source For Sports.

Their is also a challenge for Kindersley to meet or beat the other SJHL teams that have raised money for the Cancer Society by wearing pink jerseys.

The Weyburn Red Wings raised just under $15,000
The Melfort Mustangs about $ 7,500

The motto tonight is paint the rink pink!

Klippers goaltender Sean Cahill is coming off a very solid game in Flin Flon and will make his home debut tonight at the WCEC. Alot of people seem to be questioning Cahills abilities but his numbers dont tell the tale. Alot of Klipper fans who have yet to see him play will likely be pleasantly surprised.

The Klippers have been great at home all season long and have alot of momentum coming into tonight from their big come from behind OT win against Flin Flon.

At home the Klippers have a 9-3-2-0 record , where as on the other hand the Notre Dame Hounds have a 2-6-1-2 record on the road. The Hounds have also been really struggling of late losing their past 5 games all be it one was a OT loss. One of the strengths for the Hounds is their goaltending as Russell Abbott and Matthew Smidt are both very solid tenders. Their problem though is scoring goals with only 84 goals thus far this season which is 2nd worst in the SJHL behind Nipawin.

The teams have only met once so far this year way back on Oct.28th in Wilcox where the Klippers won 1-0 on a Kurt Leedahl marker.

Judging by yesterdays practice it looks like the Klippers will go with the same fwd lines we seen against Flin Flon. The lines were....

Mysiorek-Calkins-McGrath
Dommett-King-Duzan
Down-Hoffman-Adamyk
Wasden-Benn- One of Kissick/Gerwing
