Klippers Red Hot As 2010 Comes To A Close

Well I should of got this up earlier but I was feeling the effects of a late and fun Sunday night. I am finally recovered so here we go.

This is going to be a shorter recap as the game is not exactly fresh on my mind. Tomorrow though I plan on handing on Ullsys first half of the season hardware. The awards will include MVP , Best Dman , Unsung hero and more. Likely a few fun ones aswell.
Heres a short recap.

Klippers 5- Bombers 4

The Bombers were a desperate hockey team who really needed a win to cap off 2010. For them they certainly played like it for the most part of the game , but the Klippers skill was to much for them to handle. Like everyone expected and knows the Klippers have a ton of talent up front and each night of late it seems like a different player or a few players are really stepping up and taking over hockey games. A few players that I thought had great games were Sanfred King , Jesse Mysiorek , Riley Down , and Taylor Duzan.

Sanfred King in my mind was the best player on the ice Sunday night. He is playing with alot of confidence and scored the game winning goal. He is pulling off sick moves with the puck shift in and shift out.

Jesse Mysiorek has been great the past month. The 19 year old is all over the ice at all times. His speed , strength and skill combined is hard to contain. He may be one of the break out players in the SJHL come 2011.

Riley Down like I mentioned has been a different player of late. It was  only a matter of time before he broke the goose egg and got his first SJHL goal of the season and he did just that Sunday night. Look for him to pitch in more offensively in 2011.

Taylor Duzan has somewhat struggled offensively of late , but he was working his ass off all game on Sunday. His speed and hard work set up Mysioreks goal and was a thing of beauty. He has was throwing his body around all game and made a few very solid checks.

There a ton of more players I could mention , the big line was great again but overall everyone on the team appears to be clicking all at the same time.

Sundays game was likely a game the Klippers would of lost earlier on the season but things are going their way and the players are playing with a ton of confidence.

Also of note , Sanfred King extended his point streak to 8 games and Johnny Calkins extended his goal streak to 5 games.

The question mark now is will the long Christmas break be a good thing or a bad thing for the Kindersley Klippers. The team is red hot winning 6 in a row , so we will have to wait and see if the long Christmas break is a positive or a negative for this club.

Check back tomorrow sometime for Ullsys mid season hardware.

Here is Rockie Zinger talking about the win before the Christmas break...

  1. The webcast and play X play was the best I've watched all season. I think the rest of the league could learn a thing or two from it. Keep up the good work!
