Yorkton Loading Up For Playoff Run , What Does This Mean For The Klippers?

Well Craig Stein the pxp voice for the Terriers officially released the news this afternoon..

Yorkton has acquired two of the best twenty year olds in the SJHL , Justin Buzzeo and Jeremy Boyer from the Humboldt Broncos for future considerations. The futures will likely be huge , but these our two of the best players in the SJHL , and this appears to be a great move by Yorkton GM Don Chesney.

I have only had a chance to see these players play once this season , but they were lethal every time they touched the puck. The Yorkton Terriers are already a scary hockey team , but this trade may have put them over the top. Their offense is deadly on paper.

As for the Klippers , you would have to think this somewhat changes their outlook come the trade deadline. I am not saying Rockie Zinger is going to go out and sell the future to land a star player like Ceci , or Spafford , but you would think he may be looking his options over.

Klipper fans what do you think of these deals , and what do you think is in store for the Klippers????

A few blockbuster trades already in the SJHL and it isn't even the deadline yet. January 10th is shaping up to be a very interesting deadline.

  3. I think it means trouble for the Klippers I don't think our inexperienced coaching has what it takes to make the right moves that can get this team to the championship.

  4. For the comment on Rockie not being able to land a big fish , yes he is inexperienced, but he did bring in Sean Cahill which solved the teams biggest weakness. I really think Rockie can bring in someone big , but it all depends on what the asking price is. We will have to wait and see.

I'd like to know what pieces we are missing. I think we just need some of our floaters to work hard every shift. We have the talent, I just don't think we have the work ethic yet. That and discipline with the penalties.

  6. We are badly in need of a stalwart quarterback for our power play, Leedahl is ok, but not top end.

  7. To Anonymous who is questioning the Klippers coaching staff's experience. We must remember that Edge was around when the team had lots of success and how does a young coach like Rockie gain experience - by jumping in with both feet. The organization made a move to try and get better by obtaining Spencer Braaten and time will tell how that move works out. It should be noted that this trade was made because of the current coaching staff. Nice to know teams in the SJHL will now be willing to deal with the Klippers going forward.
As for the stalwart QB on the power play it would be great to find that magician but it's not easy to find a team willing to give that guy up. Leedahl is solid back there. He's calm, does a good job of keeping pucks in the zone and often makes smart reads.
Sweat is the cologne of success. This team will go along way if they outwork teams night in and night out!
