Klippers Ink SMAAA Playoff Leading Scorer Brennen Bosovich - Other tid bits

At this past weekends rookie camp Bosovich was a big standout, I believe he scored at least once in every round robin game. His skill level is outstanding, he is small but is not afraid to go to the gritty areas. He has the ability to make d men look silly with his speed and high skill level.

Now I had thought all along that Bosovich was going to be a Kindersley Klipper this year, as a matter of fact he was almost a Klipper last year. He was one of the final cuts, and really impressed the Klippers brass.

Despite what I had thought there was a ton of speculation going around that Bosovich would take his talents out West to the AJHL or BCHL, well that is no longer speculation as if he is to play Junior A hockey it will be for the Klippers.

There is a bit of a catch however as Bosovich plans on trying out for the Tri City Americans of the Western Hockey League, and with his skill level he certainly has a shot at cracking the squad. If he doesnt make the team then he will be a Klipper and as Rockie Zinger eludes to in the interview below, he would likely draw in as a top 6 forward.

Bosovich had an outstanding season this past year playing Midget AAA for the Prince Albert Mintos. The Martensville Saskatchewan native finished third in league scoring during the season and also lead the league in playoff scoring.

Stats :

Regular season : 43GP 25G 44A - 69 Points
Playoffs : 10GP 6G 12A - 18 Points

Below is an interview with head coach Rockie Zinger...

Other tidbits :

Rockie Zinger also mentioned to me that their could be some more big news coming down the pine in the near future so be on the lookout for that.

Some more good news is I now have access to the Klippers website and will be updating it hopefully on a regular basis. At this time I am playing around with it and trying to figure everything out, but check back later today for a few new stories up on the site.

-----

I have also added a new poll question on the site. Who will be the next Klippers captain. I will give my thoughts on this shortly. Hope everyone likes the new green and blue colors on the blog.

  3. I like the new look too. Very Klipperish! And glad to hear that the site will be updated often. Your challenge now is to have each be unique to the other.

  5. - good to see everyone liking the new colors.

    - as for the website, it will certainly be a challenge, still trying to figure it all out.

    - As for the Klippers schedule, it has not yet been released.

  6. The poster making the comment about trying to make the blog and the website somewhat different maybe the website could focus a bit more on the Klippers as an organization in relation to players in the community, fundraising, alumni, scholarship news, photos etc. Of course it would need to have the game results etc. The blog could focus on day to day reporting on the Klippers such as roster notes, life on the road and possibly some personal insight to the players and staff. The blog has been great so these are only suggestions, keep up the good work!

  7. The website should have information on the awards handed out at the end of the year, and the scholarships that some of the graduated players have received.

  8. Very good comment regarding the awards banquet. If there is a photo section it would be nice to see pictures of the dressing room, trainers room also. The website should be used as a recruiting tool for the team. Might be time to delete the 2008 Goose Festival pictures now? Very important to profile the sponsors as well because without them there isn't a team.

  9. Just wondering about Calkins and a scholarship, how can one of the leading point getters of the league not land a scholarship? Or has there just not been an announcement?
