Klippers Make A Forward Swap And A Look Up Front

Hope you all had a great long weekend, but its back to business!!!

A few readers have been asking me on the blog about the status of the three players that were acquired in the Flanagan trade. I talked to Rockie about this last week and he said he expected all three to come to Kindersley but that he was also looking at a few options. Well one of those players was officially dealt today, that player being Josh Mckissock. As for Ten Vaanholt and Elliott I am unsure of their status at the moment but as far as I know they are expected to be at Klippers camp.

Nonetheless the roster shakeup up front continues, here is the official press release...

---

The Kindersley Klippers organization announced today that they acquired forward Bradley Buckingham (Calgary, AB) from the Chilliwack Chiefs in exchange for Josh Mckissock (Vancouver, BC). Buckingham, a 1992 born forward, played last season for the Quesnel Millionaires in the BCHL before the team relocated to Chilliwack this off-season.

“From all reports Bradley is a very responsible defensive forward that also has the ability to chip in on the offensive side of the puck. He also has leadership skills which is evident by him being a former captain with his AAA midget team in Calgary..” Comments Klippers Coach Rockie Zinger.

McKissock was previously acquired this summer from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks as a part of the Sean Flanigan trade.

The Kindersley Klippers want to welcome Bradley to the club and wish Josh the best of luck in his hockey future.

Still a cluster of fwds up front heading into camp with Bradley now in the fold, I am sure their will be a few more moves in the near future but for now here is a quick look at the depth chart up front...

Taylor Duzan
Jordon Hoffman
Jesse Mysiorek
D.Jay McGreath
Wheaton King ( attending WHL camp )
Jarryd Ten Vaanholt
Taylor Wasden
Tanner Kissick
Ryan Elliott
Riley Down
Landon Robin
Brennen Bosovich
Dayton Reinbolt
Bradley Buckingham

Those are the fwds from last season along with the players Rockie has brought in during the offseason. That list does not mean anything regarding the fwds that will crack the roster as their are more up and coming rookies that will be coming to camp hungry to be a Klipper.

Camp is drawing near and I will hopefully get to a full depth chart shortly and a full list of all the camp invites in the near future.

Oh and by the way how about them Eskimos. A few riled up Rider fans continue to comment on the blog which is great but what is even greater is that the Esks are 5-0 for the first time since 1980. I was at the game, sure it was ugly, but they all aren't going to be pretty when your looking at running the table for a perfect season haha. That should fire up some Rider fans!

Cheers for now,

Ullsy out
